Lifeguards, but off-duty though.
The Off-Duty Lifeguard team is a group of lifeguards in the South Brisbane area. All of us in our team were once competitive swimmers, many moons ago. However, swimming competitively became a challenge for us, and so, we followed our destiny and became lifeguards.
Many of us have previously participated in the MS Swimathon. For some of us in our team, this upcoming swim will be our fourth time to participate in this prestigious event. Why? you may ask. We believe that the MS Swimathon is a chance not only for us, but for the greater community to come together share stories and have a fun day out towards a prominent and important cause. Plus, we're off-duty.
If you cannot donate, we completely understand. But please do not hesitate come down to the pool and watch us swim. It won't be hard to miss us in our *costume idea* and show us and all the other participants some support. We appreciate every help you can provide.
Your Off-duty Lifeguards.
We are swimming in the 2020 Griffith Sport MS Swimathon to join the fight against multiple sclerosis. We are raising funds to show our support and your donation will make an impact to change the lives of people living with MS.
Did you know:
- 4 Australians are diagnosed with MS every working day
- The average age of diagnosis is just 30 years of age
- Three out of four Australians living with MS are women
Your support will provide vital services and support to assist all those affected by MS to live life to their fullest and reach their true potential.
Please DONATE to support our swim and make your impact on the lives of Australians living with MS.
